Over 20 Years of STEM Efforts

CircuitRunners Robotics started in 2003 at Wheeler High School as a small after-school club competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition.

Since then, we have grown our presence and impact in our school and community, making an impact and bringing value to students from all high school grades.

Today, CircuitRunners is a non-profit organization with four highly competitive robotics competition teams spanning three different programs. We have over 110 members, and continue to be student-led.

Our History

  • Following the challenges of the 2020 season, our organization was in great need of a new workspace to continue operating out of with a growing student body.

This led to the adoption and renovation of the old Wheeler auditorium to a new Robotics Center, one that will provide plenty of room for expansion and innovation for years to come.

  • As the organization grew, the need for more opportunities resulted in the creation of FTC 11347 as a sister team to 1002.

  • First competing in the 2006 FIRST Vex Challenge game, FVC #219, later changed to FTC 1002, was created.

  • In order to keep expanding, BEST Robotics Team 93, later changed to 703, was created.

  • CircuitRunners Robotics is created with the start of FRC 1002.

Student Leadership

CircuitRunners Robotics is a student-led organization, and our student directors are essential in its smooth operation. Directors apply and are evaluated each season, and are responsible for overseeing and managing their respective areas.
